When in Doubt, Clear to Zero

You will have days that you can’t create. Take care of yourself; you will likely be more creative.

Start by clearing to zero when you are tired or sick but still want to do something.

Clear up your space, either by physically cleaning or purging your notes.

Start by clearing to zero when you are tired or sick but still want to do something.

Clear up your space, either by physically cleaning or purging your notes.

Do “light lifting tasks” that will keep you moving forward.

Remember, it is all about the journey.

Set your future self up for success.

Create, don’t consume.

Be intentional.

Focus.

“Each person deserves a day away in which no problems are confronted, no solutions searched for.  Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us.” ― Maya Angelou

Let’s start now!

By creating SMART goals you will go further, faster.  Let’s make one now.   Here is a refresher if you need it.

What is your first goal?

Fill in the blank:

I will post one_____________ (article, video, etc) about _____________(subject)  by __/___/__ (date).

This is your first declaration statement.  Consider putting it out there and hold yourself accountable.

Should you get an accountability partner?

In habit change, an accountability partner, is someone that holds you accountable but also helps you get over your fears and encourages you.

Consider pairing up with someone to hold you accountable. Research confirms you will have higher success in all areas if you do (writing, videos, weight loss, etc.)

The Apple Ecosystem

It all begins with an idea.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

3 iPhoto Tips to Help You Quickly Find Your Images (Part 1)

3 iPhoto Tips to Help You Quickly Find Your Images (Part 1)

Here is how to save hundreds of hours throughout your life in iPhoto.

Your future self will thank you!

I focus on those in the apple ecosystem, but I know these tips can be helpful to Android users too.

1.QUICKLY FIND A SPECIFIC PHOTO: If you are looking for a specific picture, narrow your search.

  1. Click on the search icon in the lower right-hand corner of the photos app.

  2. Search by location, year, color, dog, cat, shoes, plant, and even a particular person (if you have identified them in your app).

2. KEEP TRACK OF RECEIPTS & PHOTOS: Take a picture of a receipt or anything you will need to find and reference later. You may already do this step, but you likely don't process it in a way you can quickly find later. Here is how to solve that problem:

  1. In the photos app, click on the picture.

  2. Next, click on the "i" below the photo and add a caption, for example, "Receipt for tires on Toyota 2020."

  3. Now, if you need to reference this for a warranty, you will be able to find it quickly by searching "Toyota" or "tires."

3. DON'T UNDERESTIMATE "BEFORE" PHOTOS: Finally, take a BEFORE picture no matter the project's size; this will be a reference to fix it or put the item back together. This simple tip will make a difference in almost every project.

If you have a cool tip that most people don't know about, please share. Let us know if you want to see a video on this.
