These Small Habits Changed My Life and They Will Change Yours Too!

Habit #1: Start small. It doesn’t matter if you are starting an exercise program, want to eat healthier, or want to declutter your life.

Small changes over time will yield significant results. In the book Atomic Habits, James Clear shows how tiny improvements, even as small as 1% each day, will result in a 37% improvement at the end of the year. That is amazing, and it changed my life! @JamesClear #atomichabits

Habit #2: Start today. Everyone thinks there will be a good time to start a new habit. There is never a perfect time. Decide what you want to change and start today. Baby steps are okay; before you know it, you will have your first month behind you and feel more confident.

Habit #3: Don’t break the streak. If you start a positive habit like eating healthier or exercising, don’t break the steak. If you fall off the wagon, don’t think the day is ruined; just pick up where you left off that day.

Even if you can only do 10 minutes of exercise versus 20 a day, something is better than nothing, and progress each day is key.

You will need to track your habits; I recommend going old school, using a calendar, and marking off the habits each day. It is satisfying and rewarding to physically mark off an achievement, allowing you to celebrate a little.

Remember not to make too many changes at once. For lasting change, you need to start small and have some wins.
